Ideas

Having ideas is fun and easy. Bringing them to life can be one of the toughest, rewarding and/or shattering experiences a human can live to see.

Everyone who has ever built an idea into something is well aware of this — and the notion has been well spread with sayings like Edisons “Success is 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration.”.

What i think is missing from the discussion, is how people can enable themselves to focus on the right ideas and weed out the wrong ones.

In my mind the only way to do so — given the inherently unpredictable outcomes — is to have a very (clear set of) goal(s) along with a very strong value framework.

These two in combination are maybe the only way to identify worthy ideas early and abandon the bad ones.
